Art is part of the Trekkers’ 7th Annual Auction on Saturday, November 4 at the Owls Head Transportation Museum. Doors open at 5:00pm.The silent auction bidding will take place from 5:00-700pm. The live auction bidding with auctioneer Bruce Gamage begins at 7:00pm. Hundreds of items will be up for bid, from gift certificates to local stores to unique travel experiences. There is a $10 admission at the door, which includes beverages, hors d’oeuvres and sweets.
The artwork this year includes works by Eric Hopkins, Katharine Cart
wright, Alyssa Holloway (a Trekker student), Dawn & Ben Witham (a Trekker mom and Trekker student), Alan Clark, Kathleen Fox, Jenifer Mumford, Mimo Riley and Peter Mergendahl. The mediums include acrylic; fluid acrylic; watercolor and crayon; watercolor; pen and ink; photography; archival pigments prints; and encaustic and mixed media.
The lead sponsor for the event is Fisher Engineering, with a donation of a new standard in FISHER® V-plow performance, the Stainless Steel XV2™ V-plow, 8’ 6” blade width, valued at $8,500.
