Trekkers is in full swing with planning for Fired Up, our second annual chef tasting event to be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 5:30 to 8:00 pm at the site of the former Waterman’s Beach Lobster at 343 Waterman Beach Road, South Thomaston.
Handicap Parking – This year we are designating several handicap spaces in the former Waterman Beach Lobster’s parking lot. They will be marked with a cone and are closer to the tent.
Two Parking Lots – You may park in the former Waterman Beach Lobster’s parking lot or across the street (about 700 ft approximate down the road) from the tent site in an area loaned to us by a kind neighbor. There will be balloons and staff at each parking lot entrance. If you choose to park on the road, please stay on the event side.
You may have never wondered what it would be like to watch highly skilled chefs cook on wood fired camp stoves. But now that you are thinking about it, doesn’t it sound like fun?
On July 19th, the area’s best chefs will be found under a tent on Waterman Beach Road in South Thomaston in support of Trekkers. Each chef will be preparing a dish using a BioLite Base Camp. The same stoves Trekkers students use on expeditions. To make it even more fun, it will be a competition and you are a judge.
