Founded almost by accident when they all started showing up regularly at the same places to play music, Group Therapy isn’t so much a moniker as it is a service the group sees it to be for themselves, and those audience members willing to soak it in. Playing together locally for a few years now, Group Therapy has found a sound of their own, and infused it into the songs that they love and respect. With songs ranging from homey folk, to groovy bass lines, to dual guitar leads, it’s their hope that you’ll find a little something you love in what they do with some of your favorite songs, too. Always looking to be more of a “musical collective,” if you will, having fun is the name of the game for these guys. With a strong rhythm section, the real heartbeat of the band comes through for the workman like vocals and guitar work to play off. They may not solve all your problems, but a little Group Therapy session hasn’t steered them wrong yet! Band members include Bruce Gamage (Vocals, Guitar); Spike Hyssong (Bass); Jason Karam (Guitar, Vocals); Chris Lane (Guitar); and Derek Lane (Drums).
The Extension Chords
The Extension Chords, a teen Jazz Combo based in Midcoast Maine, have been playing together since 2016 and have enjoyed performances from art galleries to nursing homes.
Their old time-fusion style guarantees them an interesting performance at this years’ Trekkapalooza event!
The Once Over
It all started with a phone call and a desire to do something beyond playing cover tunes. So four seasoned and talented local musicians got together and started taking original songs and concepts to the next level. After several months of collaboration on original music as well as bringing back some fun classics, “The Once Over” is preparing to give live music in the local area CPR. Our goal is to become exceedingly rich and famous, well – actually, just have fun doing what we love to do, play music. We will perform for you a few songs that we hope you enjoy listening to as much as we do. Enjoy!!
The band members include: singer & song-writer Sean Cash on bass and lead vocals (Brooks, Maine); singer & song-writer Cody Tibbets on drums\vocals, (Jackson, Maine); song-writer Eric Robitaille on lead, rhythm guitar\vocals (Hope, Maine); and its okay, he’s Canadian, Brice Sinclair on keyboard\vocals (Brooks, Maine).
The Tune Squad
The Tune Squad is a psychedelic blues/rock trio formed in Lincolnville consisting of Rick McClellan (lead vocals/guitar), Kedrick Carson (bass/vocals), and Matt Green (drums). The band has been gigging consistently up & down the coast of Maine since 2016 focusing on delivering their original music. With only a guitar, bass & drum kit, they are tapping into the bare bones of rock & roll and bringing it to the here and now.
The Good Guys
John Coleman and Scott Simmons are The Good Guys, brought together by a love of music- talking about music, thinking about music, writing music and playing music. The Good Guys love a catchy tune, a solid groove, and big harmonies. If they’re not feelin’ it, they’re not playin’ it!
