Artist Bio

Greta Van Campen is a painter from Thomaston, Maine, known for her contemporary, hard-edge style. She comes from a family of artists and grew up painting beside her mother and father. Greta graduated from Bowdoin College in 2005, has traveled and painted her way around the country, and now lives and works in Thomaston, two doors up from her childhood home.

Creative Process

“I’ve recently been having fun making bright watercolor paintings and cutting them up into bold mixed media (acrylic and watercolor) collages. My typical work is much more precise, so this has been a fun way to let loose and play with shapes and colors.”
