Creative Process

“During the social distancing time, my ecogrief intensified. I worried about our grandchildren and the different kind of life they face. Perhaps thoughts of all the world’s young led me to make this valentine from Maine’s endangered and threatened species, represented by: Atlantic Puffin, Roseate Tern, Wood Turtle, Furbishe’s Lousewort, Spatterdock Darner Dragonfly, Spring Peeper, Barn Swallow Nestlings, Little Brown Bat, New England Aster, Rusty Patched Bumblebee, Monarch Butterfly, and Right Whale.”
