We are hosting our 6th Annual Thomaston Trek 5k Walk and 5/10k Run on Sunday, June 2nd. The start/finish line will be at the Thomaston Academy/Thomaston Public Library located at 60 Main Street in Thomaston, Maine. This fun, family-friendly event is perfect for all ages and levels of walkers or runners.
All proceeds will go towards our nonprofit organization as a whole, benefiting all of our organization’s local youth mentoring programs. Each donation will help Trekkers provide local youth with life-changing educational experiences that builds life skills, raises aspirations and sets them on a self-directed course to adulthood.
Many of our Trekkers’ students and family members will also be walking or running to raising money towards their student program dues, which helps fund their annual expeditions that range from five to 14 days in various locations across the continental U.S.
Advance online registration is $25 per person (advance registration open through Wednesday, May 29th). The registration fee on the day of the race is $35.
Check-in on the event day starts at 7:30am. The walk/run will begin at 8:30am. The event will be held rain or shine. A free T-shirt and post-run pancake breakfast at The Slipway Restaurant on the Public Landing in Thomaston is provided for all participants. Prizes will be awarded.
